Mark W. Westberg, M.D.
Dr. Westberg was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 21,1950. He now lives in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Education
Dr. Westberg graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. degree in Zoology in 1972 and a minor in Physics. He completed medical school at the College of Medicine at the University of Iowa in 1976. Dr. Westberg completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 1979. He returned to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics to do a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology in 1981 and 1982. He was a research fellow at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from 1982 to 1983. |

Practice Dr. Westberg entered practice in Internal Medicine in Houston, Texas in 1979. He left Houston to return to Iowa for a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology. After completing the fellowship, he joined Medical Oncology and Hematology Associates in Des Moines in 1983. |

Publications Dr. Westberg has published four articles as an investigator for the North Central Cancer Treatment Group which has been a cancer research outreach program of the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer center since 1979. |

Hobbies and Interests Dr. Westberg enjoys gardening, woodworking and riding his motorcycle. Dr. and Mrs. Westberg have a son who is in business and a daughter who is in college. |
