Dr. Welker was born in Oak Lawn, Illinois on May 25, 1963.

EducationDr. Welker completed her undergraduate work at DePaul University in 1984. She graduated from Finch University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School in 1992. Dr. Welker completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky in 1985. Her fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology was completed at the University of Kentucky in 1998. She has also trained in adult bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell transplants. |
