Roscoe F. Morton M.D., FACP
Dr. Morton is a native of Arkansas City, Kansas where he was born September 25, 1949.
His father was a physician and his brother practices medicine in West Texas.

Education Dr. Morton's undergraduate work was completed at the Colorado College in Colorado Springs where he graduated with a B.A. in Biology in 1972. He completed medical school at the University of Kansas in 1976 with honors and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Morton completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Wichita Campus in 1979. He also completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology in 1981 at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester.

Publications Dr. Morton has published over 50 research articles and 25 research abstracts as an investigator for the North Central Cancer Treatment Group (NCCTG) which is a cancer research outreach program of the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. Most of his publications focus on colon and rectal cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, and melanoma. |

Hobbies and Interests In his leisure time Dr. Morton is an avid summer and fall fly fisherman who enjoys the mountain trout steams in Colorado. He also enjoys hiking in the mountains and when the snow falls, the passion turns to downhill skiing. Dr. Morton has been an elder in his church, and together with his wife they have led Adult Education. He has also served as assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 48 and accompanied two groups of scouts and adults to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. Dr. Morton and his wife have a daughter who is a high school teacher and a son who is a budding economist. |
