Education Dr. Link attended the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Spring from 1978 to 1980. He graduated from Stanford University in 1982 with a B.A. in Chemistry and Biology and a M.D. degree with honors in 1985.
He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California San Francisco in 1988.
Dr. Link completed a fellowship in Medical
Hematology and Oncology as a clinical associate at the medical branch of the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Link is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.

Practice Dr. Link was a staff member at the National Cancer Institute from 1991 to 1993. He served as associate Director of the Human Gene Therapy Research Institute, Des Moines, Iowa.
He became a member of Medical Oncology and Hematology Associates in 1996. Dr. Link is now President and CEO of NewLink Genetics
