Dr. Heddinger was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 11, 1969.

Education Dr. Heddinger is a Dowling Catholic High School graduate. He his undergraduate degree at Notre Dame University in Pre-Medical Studies in 1991. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1995. Dr Heddinger completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in 1998. He also completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology in 2002 at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Dr. Heddinger has trained in adult bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell transplants. |

Dr. Heddinger is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and Hematology.

PracticeAfter finishing an Internal Medicine residency he practiced Internal Medicine in Colorado Springs from 1998 to 1999 before going to Virginia for a fellowship. He joined Medical Oncology and Hematology Associates in June 2002. |

Hobbies and Interests Dr. Heddinger is a loyal alumnus supporter of the Dowling Catholic High School Maroons and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He also enjoys long distance running. |
